Cover Photo: Lincoln Tunnel is officially opened to traffic! This impressive photograph shows the parade, in honor of the occasion, as it starts through the tunnel from New Jersey to New York. At the head of the procession are officers of the New York Port of Authority mounted on Harley-Davidsons. At the other two Hudson River crossings, the George Washington Bridge and Holland Tunnel, the Port of Authority also uses Harley-Davidsons. See story and picture on page 9 of this issue.

Back Cover Advertisement: Harley-Davidson Motorcycles - the mobile arm of the law! Traffic tragedies - deaths and accidents are quickly reduced where the motorcycle officer patrols. He sees all and all see him. Because of their dependability, engineering features, low operating cost, Harley-Davidson Police Motorcycles enjoy the overwhelming preference of the law enforcement agencies of the Nation.

Always leading with features that make them outstanding for law enforcement work, Harley-Davidson Police Motorcycles for 1938 offer a host of new advancements. Now an electro-magnetic speedometer hand stop makes it unnecessary for the officer to take his hand off the handlebar to clock a traffic violator's speed. Siren is of streamline design. Phone your nearby Harley-Davidson dealer and let him bring over a new model for inspection. Or write for particulars.
